It’s official, we’re here!
After years of discussing something like this and deciding on Jan 1 that we were going to go for it, it’s great to finally arrive.
It was a long, long day, with a 3:20 am wake-up call and a 6 am flight out of Dulles. A nice 4 hour layover in Denver, then a 7 hour flight to Kailua-Kona, HI.
Or as we call it now, home.
We’re pretty much zombies at this point, and it’s 7:30 pm local time and Kirsten and the kids are already asleep.
As you can see from the photo, we had to go out and get ourselves a couple cocktails.
We’ve already taken the familiar walk along the town seawall and beach.
Lots of updates to come in the next few days, but we’re relieved, exhausted, and stoked to be here!
