10 Year Anniversary at the Four Seasons

Bouquet

Chuck and I just celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary.  My mom arrived the same day so after a few days of letting her settle in, she watched the kids so Chuck and I could go out to celebrate.

The choice for me was easy.  The Four Seasons Chiang Mai.  We’d seen the resort on a special Giada De Laurentiis did about her visit to Thailand and the resort looked incredible.  Plus this is where she learned to cook Khao Soi Gai, a Northern Thailand dish.

We started off our evening by ordering cocktails from the Ratree Bar and Lounge.  They had some unique cocktails that had very Thai ingredients so of course we had to try a bunch of them.

After a few cocktails and watching the sunset (well, you don’t see the actual sunset but the sky did turn a lovely shade before getting dark), we went to the Sala Mae Rim restaurant.  Here we finally got to try Khao Soi Gai and it did not disappoint.  Its a wonderful mixture of coconut milk, curry, noodles and a little heat.  I am now in love with this dish and want to eat bowlfuls before I leave.  We also had an absolutely delicious Beef with Oyster sauce.

After dinner, we drove to Nimmanhaemin and had some lattes with beautiful art drawn in the foam.

Very cool latte art. Delicious too!

All in all, it was the perfect evening only made more perfect by my company.

Happy 10 years Chuck!
